  16. What is Scalos?

  18. First of all: It is not another new Operating System, as its name may
  19. (accidentally) suggest.
  20.  
  21. Scalos is a Workbench-Replacement. Since the real Workbench becomes older every
  22. day, Scalos' author decided that there have to be something new. So Scalos found
  23. its beginning.

  25. Scalos goal is to integrate a lot of additional functionality and an enhancent
  26. look without loosing any of the look-and-feel we all love at our real Workbench.
  27. If you now think about Directory Opus 5 you are not completely wrong. But there
  28. are differences. Scalos provides a much better emulation of the real Workbench,
  29. you won't notice any difference in your first look. Because of that here is no
  30. screen shot of Scalos right now.If you want a one, just look at you Workbench it
  31. looks just the same (at least if you have several enhancement tools installed,
  32. see below). Up to now DirOpus5 provides just more functions.

  42.    about Scalos features you should look  at all these tiny, little Screenshots of
  43.    the different functions which  are hidden below.

  86. in late August.
